Baseball: Tee Ball

Whether your child plans on playing softball or baseball, the journey starts with Tee Ball. Children are taught the basics of the game while having lots of fun!  While children will begin to learn basic fundamentals, the main emphasis is getting everyone involved and keeping their interest in the sport.

Game Schedule
One game per week on Saturday mornings (five total).  Practices at coach and player family discretion.  Games are played prior to the “Coach Pitch (Farm)” game.

Season Length
Season starts the third weekend in May, and ends the Saturday after the end of the school year.

Time Limit
60 minutes or three innings, whichever comes first. However, a game will not be stopped in the middle of an inning if the 60 minute time limit has been reached. The complete inning will be completed and then the game will end.

Special Rules
There will be no outs recorded and players can only run one base at a time.


Baseball:  Coach Pitch Minors (Farm)

Coach Pitch is the next step after Tee Ball.  Children will begin to learn how to hit off a live pitcher and will also begin to understand the fundamentals of running the bases and throwing to the proper base when the ball is in play.  Must have prior experience in Tee Ball in order for league age 5 year olds to sign up for this division.

Players who are league age 5 that have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to a Coach Pitch Minors (Farm) team.

Game Schedule

Special Rules
Players will be rotated on the bench and field. No player will sit on the bench for more than one inning.
Coaches will pitch to the players throughout the entire season.
No batter will walk throughout the season. If a player accumulates four balls, they will hit off the batting tee.
An inning will end when the defensive team records three outs or when the offensive team bats once through the order.

Baseball and Girls Softball:  Player Pitch Minors and Majors

The purpose of the Minors teams are to prepare players to play on a Majors team.  Minors baseball teams will compete in an end-of-regular season tournament, to determine the League champion.

On the Majors teams, players are able to improve their baseball skills, while also learning more advanced concepts of the game.  Majors baseball teams will compete in an end-of-regular season tournament, to determine the League champion.
Players who are league age 8 that have participated for one regular season in the Coach Pitch Minors (Farm) Division are eligible to be selected to a Player Pitch Minors team.
Players who are league age 10 that have participated for one regular season in the Player Pitch Minors Division are eligible to be selected to a Player Pitch Majors team.
There are many factors that determine whether a player will be placed on a Minors or Majors team roster:  Player participation from each town that wants to field a team; League Age; Experience; Skill; Coach availability, and other considerations.

Game Schedule
Minors Baseball:  Teams will play two or three games a week, primarily on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Majors Baseball:  Teams will play two or three games a week, primarily on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.  Teams may practice on Sundays at coach and player family discretion.
Minors and Majors Girls Softball:  Games depend on opponent availability; practices depend on coach and player family discretion.

Special Rules for Minors Baseball and Softball
Each team is allowed to score five runs per offensive inning. The only exception is the last inning, where it's unlimited.
A team only has to bat as many players as the opposing team. For example, if one team has 11 players show up and the other team has 14 players show up, the team with 14 only needs to bat 11 players through their original lineup.
All players must receive at least one at bat and play at least two defensive innings.
